At the Top of My To-Do List: Congressional Reform. Pay cuts for Members of Congress... term limits... and an end to earmarks. Those are some of the reforms I will push for in Washington to help fix a broken federal government and stop wasteful spending of your -- the taxpayer's -- dollars. My plan for reform includes cutting Congressional salaries by half -- and I've made a personal pledge to cut my own pay as a Congressman by 50 percent. Stopping "earmarks" -- the wasteful "pork" hidden in legislation, along with ending the high-priced health and pension plans for Members of Congress and instituting term limits are also key reform actions I will fight for as your Congressman. We need to remind ourselves that it's our money Congress spends to take care of its own. Are you as tired of that as I am? I am committed to bringing such common sense ideas and actions back to our federal government. As I have traveled back and forth across the incredible 23rd District, it has been heartening to receive support for my conservative approach to federal spending, and other priorities I will bring with me to Washington.
